My name is Summer Hellewell and I teach English in the Language Academy Middle School. This is my 7th year with Language Academy. I grew up in San Diego and graduated from Chula Vista High School. I then did my undergraduate work at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and received a degree in Literature in English (B.A) After that I returned to San Diego where I worked in special education for 3 years. I then received my M.Ed from UCSD and began my teaching career at the Language Academy, where I have been ever since!

I love writing, reading, hiking, taking pictures. I love teaching. I love coffee. I hate Peeps, chocolate cereal, and orange Tic Tacs.
